Ro’ee Finds Opportunity - WIZO’s Sima Franco Day Care, Beit She’an

Ro’ee was set on serving his country despite being a person with special needs, so instead of the IDF he found other ways to contribute.

As a young man with special needs, Ro’ee, 22, is exempt from IDF service. Nevertheless, he insisted on contributing to his country by volunteering for national service, which is doing in WIZO’s Sima Franco Day Care Center in the northern Israeli town of Beit Shean.

Ro’ee volunteered to work in the kitchen, but since he loves music and plays the darbuka drum, we invited him to lead an experiential musical session with the children – which the children loved.

He also loves sports, so we invited him to lead an interactive sports session with the children, which they also loved.

Ro’ee adores the kids and is always offering to lend a hand to the DCC staff. The children have grown very attached to him, and if is absent – everybody misses him.

Ro’ee: thank you for your service to the children of WIZO and to Israel!
