Renee Rosenberg
Born in Northern Rhodesia, Renee arrived in Australia in 1980 and joined WIZO immediately.
Whilst living in South Africa, Renee was involved with National Council of Jewish Women and held the position of Treasurer. Following her arrival in Perth, she was introduced to WIZO and became very involved. Renee is married, has 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Renee was WIZO Western Australia State President from 1992 to 1998. She held the position of Treasurer of WIZO
Aviva in Western Australia for many years, and then was asked to take on the position of Treasurer for WIZO State Council of WA.
Renee held that position until she was approached to take on Presidency of WIZO WA which she held for seven years.
During her time in office she noted the impact of the changing demographics.
She currently is on the executive of WIZO WA and is the WIZO representative on the Jewish Community Council of WA. For a short time, she was Vice President of the WA Jewish Community Council.
Among her achievements, Renee saw the establishment of the younger group Ziona and ensured the WIZO WA state budget was met each year.
Renee is still involved in WIZO WA as well as the community.
