Leah Rothfield zāl
Leah Rothfield z'|, affectionately known as "Auntie Leah", was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1882 to Russian migrant parents. Her lifelong association with WIZO goes back to her attendance at the first WIZO Conference in London in 1919. After moving to Australia in 1938, she joined one of WIZO Victoria's largest groups, WIZO Negba, becoming Group President in 1942.
She went on to become President of the WIZO
State Council of Victoria from 1954 to 1957, and was an Honorary Life Member of the Executive of both State and Federal bodies. Leah was the first person to be inscribed as a Life Governor of Ahuzat Yeladim, and was an inspiration for many generations of WIZO to come.
