Judy Pack

Judy Pack (nee Tyler) was born in Budapest, Hungary in January 1947 to the parents or two Holocaust Survivors.

She arrived in Australia with her parents and younger brother in January 1950.

The family lived in Hotham St., East St. Kilda and Judy attended Brighton Rd. State School - later moving to Mt. Scopus College.

Her mother joined WIZO Arad in the early days and remained a committed member until her passing. Judy’s introduction to WIZO and Israel was through her mother.

Judy married Victor in 1967, and both of them had a deep feeling for Israel.

Judy was a founding member of WIZO Golan, which was formed in 1969. At first she was Secretary, and later became President, a position that she still holds after 40 years.

In 2004, she attended a World WIZO EGM and saw first-hand the WIZO projects that Australia supports. She returned reinvigorated and ably continued to lead WIZO Golan in their fundraising ventures. Over the years WIZO Golan were very big fundraisers and won many Competitions.

Judy was a winning Candidate in the Woman Of The Year Quest.

Her children and grandchildren were also winning candidates in many Child Of The Year Quests.

Judy is a quiet achiever and was honoured for her work of over half a century with a Rebecca Sieff Award.
