Anne Topelberg OAM
Anne Topelberg OAM has been involved with WIZO for as long as she can remember. After visiting Israel as a young woman and witnessing WIZO's work firsthand, she returned to Perth and joined WIZO Ilana, going on to become Membership Chair, co-President, and then WIZO State President from 2006 - 2016. Anne received an OAM and a Centenary Medal in 2001 for her work in the wider community. She was a member of the WA Board of the The Queen's Trust for Young Australians from 1984 to 2001, a founding board member of the Business in the Community mentoring and incubator space, and sat on the Oz Concert Committee. She was also a member of the Youth Affairs Committee of the Australia Day Council, which ran several programmes encouraging school children to learn about Australia and honour its values.
But WIZO remains Anne's first love. Its values have shown a pathway throughout life, and its work continues to inspire her to this day.
